ISAE 3402 Type I
A Type I report has included a description and a statement from the accountant about the design and existence of the control framework. Because an ISAE 3402 Type I report relates to one specific date, a Type I reporting is for a user organization and its accountant is limited because it does not show whether measures have also worked well over a period of time.
ISAE 3402 Type II
An ISAE 3402 Type II report is in substance the same report as a Type I report. Only in the accountant’s statement is that the management measures described have been effective over a period of at least six months . The control is also much more intensive than a Type I audit; Daily management measures are tested between 15 and 25 per year for their effective operation.
